Ну вот, остров перестал быть скучным и однообразным. Все уже конечно знают, что в Лондоне прошли взрывы. Три в метро, три в красных дабл-декерах. Станции метро все центральные и известные. На Liverpool Street в лондонском сити, например, приходит поезд из Ипсвича. На этой станции метро сегодня тоже был взрыв.

Для англичан это был конечно шок. В Лондоне не работает все метро. Не работают автобусы в центре Лондона, госпитали не принимают никого кроме эксетренных случаев, полиция говорит оставаться дома, просят не звонить без крайней небходимости в экстренные службы, все мобильные операторы переключились в режим приоритетного приема звонков на экстренные номера. В BT всем в UK разослали по внутренней почте письмо с предостережением отменить все поездки Лондон и всетречи там.

Несмотря, на неожиданность событий, все быстро среагировали, что надо делать. На сайтах всех городских служб повесили доходчивые советы что делать, а что не делать. Парламент собирается по этому поводу на экстренное совещание. Блэйр летит из Шотландии.

Что вызывает уважение, так это то, как люди и власть доводит до сведения всю необходимую информацию. Делают это быстро и скоординированно. Еще никто не знает, что точно случилось, а уже у всех в почтовых ящиках, email-ы о том как себя вести. Вот она повышенная английская сознательность.

На сайте Лондонской полиции написали:

There are four confirmed sites where police are dealing with reported explosions this morning. These are:
1) Russell Square and King’s Cross underground
2) Moorgate, Aldgate, and Liverpool Street underground
3) Edgware Road underground
4) Tavistock Square, where there has been a confirmed explosion on a bus.

The emergency services are working together in a co-ordinated response and liaising with hospitals to rescue those injured.

The London Underground system has been suspended however the Network Rail system is still in operation. We would urge anyone who doesn’t need to come into London today not to do so. If you are already in London wherever possible please limit travelling around the capital.

The Met continues to respond to 999 emergency calls but non-emergency calls will have a seriously delayed response.

We cannot at this stage confirm the number of those injured, though casualties are multiple. There are believed fatalities but again numbers are not confirmed.We are also asking members of the public not to contact police at this stage unless it is a genuine emergency.

There is likely to be some disruption to children’s journeys home from schools. Schools will be liaising with local education authorities to ensure that children are kept safe until arrangements can be made with their parents to collect them.

Public advice
The Metropolitan Police advise people to stay where they are.
Do not call the emergency services except in life-threatening situations.
An emergency hotline number is expected shortly.
All London hospitals are closed to non-emergency cases.
Emergency service calls are being given priority on mobile phone networks.

Transport information
All London Underground trains are suspended until further notice.
All Zone 1 buses are suspended.
Drivers are advised not to come into central London.
Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted Express trains are suspended.
Thames Clippers are providing free travel on all boats.
Mainline train services are disrupted.
