sharks – bite!

В нашей команде не хватает людей и мы должны были сегодня проиграть команде ACT в игре на нашей площадке. Такое письмо нам написал вчера Марк, наш тренер:

Ewa has just let me know that she cannot play tonight.

It looks like we will have only five players tonight, unless Asha(?), the other Polish girl, can play.
As far as I understand it, none of the Moles or Hawks can be used. They are all cup-tied and I
don’t think the five-point penalty rule applies. It is too late to cancel the game, so we may end
up playing with a phantom player.

One of the five players will be Anna, the Portuguese girl, who is extremely talented but also
extremely inexperienced. It looks like we will have a tough game!

If anybody has any creative solutions to get us out of this predicament, please let me know!!!!

PS. The good news is that we do have a referee and a scorer.

Начали проиграв первую игру, но с разумным счетом 22:25. Вторую игру выиграли, третью проиграли, выиграли четрертую и уверенно выигрывали пятую со счетом что-то: 12:7. Закончилось время, придется переигрывать, но мы почти выйграли! Я играл как outside hitter, 4-й номер.

p.s. sharks – bite, слоган нашей команды. команда наша – Sharks. Выглядит по детско-садовски, но игра по-настоящему захватывает. Никгода не думал, что можно так проникнуться просто игрой в воллейбол.
